For racehorse owners there can be no better collection of memories and records than beautifully-bound leather albums – and they make the most marvellous presents.
Dan Abbott, founder and creator of racingalbums.com, put his vast experience of racing to work to create the most established racing album business in the UK.
“Our albums make superb gifts for owners,” says Dan, who attended his first race at Cheltenham at the age of 11 – and backed a winner with his two-shilling (10p) stake.
He was also, during his early career, assistant to the famous Daily Express racing journalist Clive Graham and advertising agent for Ascot Racecourse during the Eighties and Nineties.
Dan and his wife, Sue, are involved in racehorse ownership and have run a number of successful syndicates.
“We have one of the best calligraphers in the country, Gerald Fleuss, doing all the entries by hand to make beautiful books which can be updated annually,” says Dan.
