Waugh believes for the first time this preparation Censor is in a race to suit when he contests the Greg Houston Plumbing (1900m) at Rosehill today.
Censor was sensationally backed into favouritism at his comeback run when eighth to Bay Window before his last-start fourth to Circle Of Power.
Both of those runs were at Rosehill over 1500m and 1600m respectively but Waugh pointed out Censor was now racing over a more suitable distance.
"This does look a nice race for him," Waugh said. "I thought he ran a really good race last start and he's at his peak now.
"He has drawn a little awkwardly (barrier nine) - but this horse never seems to draw a barrier."
