So it seems this Beast from the East has some teeth after all. Biting frost has killed off almost all prospect of turf racing today and tomorrow, with the loss of cards at Hexham, Leicester, Huntingdon and Ludlow.
Taunton's card tomorrow is still alive, with the track reported raceable under frost covers. Other than that, we're relying on all-weather racing to supply us with action, so it's not the absolute best timing for Southwell to be shut for months and for Wolverhampton to be struggling with its surface.
