Trained by Todd Pletcher, Violence is the 7-2 favorite for the Futurity and will start from post six with Javier Castellano returning to ride the colt.
Owned by Black Rock Thoroughbreds, Violence posted a two-length victory last time out in the Nashua Stakes Nov. 4 at Aqueduct. The colt made his debut at Saratoga with a neck win with Hall of Fame jockey John Velazquez. His two victories have added up to earnings of $168,000.
"He's still a young colt, a colt I anticipate will continue to improve physically and mentally," Pletcher noted following the Nashua win.
Breeders' Cup Juvenile runner-up He's Had Enough has drawn the inside post with Mario Gutierrez in the saddle. Owned by J. Paul Reddam, the colt is the 9-2 second choice in the field.
He's Had Enough, trained by Doug O'Neill, was just a head from passing Pletcher-trainee Shanghai Bobby in the Juvenile at Santa Anita on Nov. 3. After winning his debut race, He's Had Enough was sixth at Del Mar in the Juvenile Turf and 11th at Keeneland in the Breeders' Futurity.
The colt is the high earner in the CashCall with $403,000. His connections combined to win this year's Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes with I'll Have Another.
